AI assistant · N5 Complete system
Chart and Visual Board Builder from Your Spreadsheet for Restaurants
Hand over your spreadsheet —sales, costs, P&L or all three— and get a board of twelve charts where the money shows: where the profit went, which channel takes your margin, and what each leak costs per month.
N5Complete system
Several chained pieces you install and operate over time, with their review cadence. It changes how the business runs, not one decision.

What it does and what you get
- The owner has the information and still cannot see it: it is spread across tabs, rows of four figures and a P&L that arrives in the accountant's language.
- This assistant, pasted into an agent that reads and builds files (Claude with Cowork or Claude Code), takes the sheet as it is, audits it, normalizes it to the house structure and turns it into a BOARD where every chart answers a money question: the waterfall showing where the profit went, the Pareto separating the dishes that hold up the business from the ones that just take up menu, the margin by channel where the most expensive finding almost always appears, the weekday-and-hour heatmap, and the scenario tornado.
- It closes with the detected leaks in money per month, investment priority by payback, and this week's decisions with an owner and a deadline.
What you end up with
A self-contained tablero_visual.html file built on the MASTERESTAURANT Visual Kit (dark and light theme, cards, tables and figures with their data table), with twelve SVG charts —P&L waterfall, sales against last year, cost structure, dish Pareto, menu engineering matrix, heatmap, margin by channel, break-even, leak thermometer, scenario tornado, investment bubbles and the indicator strip—, each with its reading in one sentence and in money; the findings matrix for your sheet with the exact cell; the eight leaks reviewed with what they cost per month; three scenarios; and this week's five decisions with an owner and a deadline.

The owner asked this: «Here is my Google Sheet: the tab with sales by month for the year, the costs tab and the P&L my accountant builds. Build me the board.» (Kōyō Sushi Bar, Austin TX, 2025 sheet)
No chart gets drawn before the data adds up. Gross − tax = net all 12 months, channels and families add up to net sales, the delivery commission is exactly 28 %. What does not square with the house benchmarks:
| Finding | Cell | Moves | Fix | Who confirms |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Packaging and disposables ($22,826 a year) sit inside food cost | Costos!B11 | Food cost reads 31.8 %; without packaging it is 29.9 % | Move the row to operating expenses | Accountant |
| The break-even does not declare which lines it treats as fixed | PyG!row «Punto de equilibrio» | Rebuilt it gives $105k/month against $106k declared | Write the fixed / variable split next to the formula | Accountant |
| Income tax at 21 % as a corporation | PyG!row «Impuesto sobre la renta» | If it is a pass-through, $29,766 never leaves the restaurant | Confirm the tax status | Accountant |
| No sales by dish nor by day and hour | Missing tabs | Four charts stay declared, not drawn | Export «Item sales» and «Sales by hour» from Toast | Manager |
P&L waterfall — from $1.56M in sales to $112k net, one step per line.
Of every $100 that comes in, $30 goes to product, $33 to payroll and $25 to rent and operations: $11.8 of EBITDA and $7.2 net remain. Payroll, at 32.6 %, sits 2.6 points above the house band: $40,462 a year.
Margin by channel — horizontal bars, sorted.
Every delivery dollar leaves 36¢; every dining-room dollar leaves 68¢. Delivery bills $240k (15.4 % of sales) and the 28 % commission takes $67k a year: negotiating it to 20 % is $1,598 a month.
Cost structure — stacked bars in % of sales, with the 65 % ceiling.
Prime cost crosses the ceiling four months (Jan, Feb, Jun, Aug) because payroll is flat —$41.7k to $42.9k— while sales run from $112k to $155k.
What the sheet does not support is said in the chart's own spot: the day × hour heatmap, the Pareto and the matrix by dish stay declared, with the report that enables them.
Illustrative example generated with a fictional restaurant. Not a promise of results, not a client case.
This is 2 of 3 parts. Behind the wall are **the eight leaks reviewed —four with a figure and six with the report that turns them into one—, the three scenarios and the decision card per investment** —each with the chart that proves it— plus the tablero_visual.html file with the twelve charts built on the Visual Kit.

How to use it
Which of your data it uses
This assistant works with 9 of the 23 fields in «My Restaurant», among them Restaurant name, City and country and Business type. It does not ask out of curiosity: these are what make the answer speak about YOUR scale instead of an industry average — the same calculation on a business of another size returns a number you cannot decide with. You fill them once and they apply across the library, so the second assistant you open already starts with them in place. Whatever you leave blank, the assistant asks for one thing at a time instead of inventing it, and says so before answering, so you know what it is working from.
Always up to date
Every assistant carries a visible version and date. When an AI changes how it works, the assistant's version goes up and you see what changed.
v1.1.02026-09-16The board is built on the MASTERESTAURANT VISUAL KIT that downloads together with the assistant: the contract of cards, figures with their data table, color only by token, dark and light theme and the Kit's printing. The format used to cite the print-document system (cream and gold), which belongs to another family of deliverables. The example becomes a real case: Kōyō Sushi Bar, Austin TX, 2025 sheet.v1.0.02026-09-15The first card in the library whose product is the CHART. Before it, the fifteen dashboard builders and the two spreadsheet analyzers did not name a single chart in their body, so every AI invented its own. It ships with the MASTERESTAURANT CHART VOCABULARY, which lives once in the data and the others inherit.More assistants in this category
