AI assistant · N5 Complete system
Hospitality Service Script Builder for Restaurants
Pick the service moment and your service style above, and the assistant writes the script as a sequence of decisions with a clock: the cue you read before speaking, three versions of every line —peak, calm table and recovery—, the exit for every no, and the blacklist of what to stop saying.
N5Complete system
Several chained pieces you install and operate over time, with their review cadence. It changes how the business runs, not one decision.

What it does and what you get
- So that service stops depending on who is on shift.
- In most restaurants the script either does not exist —everyone greets as best they can— or it exists and sounds like voice-over, which is worse: the guest spots a learnt line in the first second.
- This assistant builds it the way a floor director does: first the sequence with its clock, then the cue you read at the table before opening your mouth, and only then the line, in three versions because peak hour and the quiet three-o'clock table do not take the same one.
- Every line carries its exit for the no, its answer to the price question, and its way of saying something ran out without sounding like a door slamming.
- It closes with the blacklist —starting with «is everything ok?»— and the indicator that must move within thirty days.
What you end up with
The complete script for the chosen moment and service style: the sequence as numbered steps with its clock, the visible cue that fires each one and who executes it; three versions of every line —short for peak, full for a calm table, and recovery—; the table reading with at least three cues per step and what changes in the line with each; the exits for the no, the price, the «we ran out», the allergen, the guest in a hurry and the complaint, with its written escalation threshold; the blacklist of six to ten lines with their replacement; the two ten-minute role-plays with their rubric; and the indicator table for thirty days, with the verdict on whether the script fits the shift.

The owner asked this: «60-seat bistro, à la carte, 95,000 COP average ticket. My servers greet however they can and nobody offers a starter: we are at 12 % of tables. I want the script for the welcome and taking the order, but it must not sound like a call centre — my people speak local and the place is informal.»
The script starts before the first word: what fires each step is something you SEE.
| Step | Clock | Cue that fires it | Who |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 · Eye contact from wherever you are | < 30 s from the door | The door opens | Whoever is closest, host or not |
| 2 · Greeting and reading the party | < 60 s | How many, children, in a hurry | Host |
| 3 · Seating and menus | < 90 s | They sit down | Host |
| 4 · Server's first approach | < 2 min from seating | Menu open | Station server |
| 5 · Drink on the table | < 5 min | Drink order taken | Server / bar |
| 6 · Taking the order | When the menu closes | Menu closed or set down | Server |
| 7 · Read-back out loud | Immediate | Order complete | Server |
Step 6 has no clock on purpose: it is fired by the cue, not by the minute. Asking «do you know what you want yet?» with the menu open is the most common way to rush a table without meaning to.
| Step | Peak (< 15 words) | Calm table | Recovery (previous step failed) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Greeting | «Welcome! Table for how many?» | «Welcome! First time with us? Let me seat you where you'll be most comfortable.» | «Sorry about the wait, your table is ready. Thanks for bearing with me.» |
| First approach | «Shall we start with something to drink while you look?» | «While you look at the menu: coconut lemonade, or would you rather see the wine list?» | «My greeting ran late. What can I bring you to drink right away?» |
| Starter | «Something to share while the main comes?» | «The main takes about 18 minutes. Shall I bring something to pick at meanwhile, or would you rather wait?» | «The main ran late. A house starter is on its way, on us.» |
| Read-back | «So: two platters, one without pork crackling.» | «Let me read it back so I don't get it wrong: two platters, one without crackling, and both lemonades.» | «Confirming the change: yours goes without crackling, already fixed.» |
Notice that no question can be answered with a bare yes or no: each offers a decision. That single change is what moves the 12 % starter rate.
| Cue at the table | What it means | What changes in the line |
|---|---|---|
| Menu closed on the table | Ready to order | Approach without asking if they know; arrive and take it |
| Phones face down, active conversation | They came to talk | Short line, no long description, no unrequested recommendation |
| Children at the table | The clock runs differently | Something to drink and pick at first, and the kids' menu before the mains |
| One guest with a laptop | Wants quiet | Give the wifi unasked and do not return until they look up |
| Watching the clock or the door | In a hurry | Say what comes out in under 12 minutes, before they have to ask |
| Menu open but nobody reading | Deciding between two | The only moment where recommending two dishes helps |

This is 3 of 5 parts. Behind the wall sit the two pieces that make the script survive its second Friday: the exits —the no, the price, the «we ran out», the allergen, the hurry and the complaint, with their escalation threshold— and the blacklist with its replacements, plus the rehearsal, the weekly routine and the indicator table with its verdict.

How to use it
Which of your data it uses
This assistant works with 18 of the 23 fields in «My Restaurant», among them Restaurant name, Business type and Cuisine or concept. It does not ask out of curiosity: these are what make the answer speak about YOUR scale instead of an industry average — the same calculation on a business of another size returns a number you cannot decide with. You fill them once and they apply across the library, so the second assistant you open already starts with them in place. Whatever you leave blank, the assistant asks for one thing at a time instead of inventing it, and says so before answering, so you know what it is working from.
Always up to date
Every assistant carries a visible version and date. When an AI changes how it works, the assistant's version goes up and you see what changed.
v1.1.12026-09-23Professional document audit (2026-09-23): the next step said to print «Block B», which does not exist among the script's fifteen sections. What is printed and taped to the pass is the pocket card.v1.0.02026-08-27Born on Diego's brief (2026-08-27): «we are missing a hospitality service script builder; it cannot be generic, it has to be powerful and expert in hospitality». It merges the twenty-two script cards in c30 —welcome, presenting the menu, recommending dishes and drinks, suggestive selling, upselling, cross-selling, raising the ticket, goodbye, inviting them back, phone, reservations, delivery, WhatsApp, VIP, difficult guests, objections, wait times, reviews, role-plays, simulations, script evaluation and the script manual—, which were TWO axes written twenty-two times: the service MOMENT and the house's SERVICE STYLE. The `momento_del_servicio` and `tipo_de_servicio` axes are born with it.v1.0.12026-09-21The ROLE axis arrives, with a new scale of seven roles — only the ones who speak to the guest. And the deliverable becomes a printable OPERATING DOCUMENT: one guion_de_servicio.html with the print button inside, fourteen sections and a cut-out POCKET CARD, because a script that does not fit in an apron is read in a meeting and forgotten. Types of service go from 6 to 11, dark kitchen included.v1.1.02026-09-21The deliverable goes from 14 to 15 sections: the CHANGE LOG arrives, one of the five governance pieces of the Operating Document standard and the only one this script was missing — the other four types in the family had it. Section 15 is no longer just the self-audit: it also prints THE VOICE CHECK, every line measured against the house's human-writing contract, evidence included. BEFORE YOU DELIVER gains the self-review it lacked: 2 consecutive steps cannot open with the same 3 words nor repeat a 4-word string, because serial text is where machine writing shows first. The 2 worked examples this prompt never had are built, one per end of the selector: a floor server with 9 steps and a counter cashier with 6.Same method, another variant
