Curiosity Hook Generator for Restaurants
A curiosity hook is not a clever line: it is an information gap built from two parts, one shown and one withheld. This piece produces the gap catalogue your kitchen actually owns, the formula that turns each gap into an opening, and the payment contract that forces the promise to be honoured before the guest gets tired of waiting.
N5Complete system
Several chained pieces you install and operate over time, with their review cadence. It changes how the business runs, not one decision.

What it does and what you get
- Withholding is easy; withholding with precision is what almost nobody does.
- An owner who discovers that an open question keeps people watching starts asking anything at all, and six weeks later the audience has learned there is no answer there and stops stopping — badly paid curiosity does not cost you one piece, it costs the whole account.
- This one gives you the opposite: the real gaps inside your operation (what happens in the kitchen before opening, why a dish is made this way and no other, what the weekly regular orders), the rule for how much to show and how much to hold back, and the exact second the promise gets honoured inside the video.
What you end up with
The gap table with its source dish or daypart, what gets shown, what stays hidden and the figure that makes it checkable; one shooting card per hook with the opening line, the first-frame image, the reveal second, the commercial action and the 7-day metric; and the payment-contract checklist that compares the promised second with the real one and states what gets fixed on the next take.

The owner asked this: «Sazón de Origen, contemporary Colombian cooking in Medellín: 2 sites, 6 years, 24 people, 48,000 COP average check. Sunday midday is my strongest daypart and the three-meat Sancocho is what people come for that day. I sell dine-in, own delivery and one platform; I post on Instagram and WhatsApp. I open every video with «did you know…?» and nobody stays anymore. I want curiosity hooks about the Sunday sancocho, but ones that actually pay what they promise.»
| Gap | Where it comes from | What gets shown | What stays hidden | Figure that makes it checkable |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| The pot lit on Saturday | Kitchen before opening | The burner on at 5:40 a.m. on Sunday | What goes in at that hour and why it cannot wait | 6 hours on low fire before the first plate |
| The three meats do not go in together | Why it is made this way | The three meats on the board, kept apart | The order and the minutes between them | 90 minutes between the first and the last |
| Sunday has a dish that is not on the menu | What the regular orders | A served portion nobody recognises | Who it is for and what to ask for | 12 portions served, gone before 1:00 p.m. |
| The potato that gets set aside | What never reaches the table | The bucket of rejected potato | The criterion behind it and where it goes | 4 kg set aside every Sunday |
How this table was read. All four gaps hang from the three-meat Sancocho and from Sunday midday, the house's highest-occupancy daypart: a gap about a low-rotation dish would have entertained without moving the sales mix. Two that sounded fine were dropped because they touched no real consumption reason —the plantain supplier and the stove brand—: the owner told them without energy, the first sign that nobody else cares. Illustrative figures; replace them with the house's real times and weights before shooting.

The three open differently on purpose: one with an hour, one with a warning, one with a quantity. Three openings built the same way read as a mould when played back to back, and the mould shows before the content does.
Illustrative example generated with a fictional restaurant. Not a promise of results, not a client case.
This is 2 of 3 parts. Behind the wall sits the **payment-contract checklist**: the table setting each video's promised second against its real one, the verdict on whether the hook paid, the concrete fix for the next take, and the rule that forbids trimming the reveal to fit the greeting in.

How to use it
Which of your data it uses
This assistant works with 13 of the 23 fields in «My Restaurant», among them Restaurant name, Cuisine or concept and City and country. It does not ask out of curiosity: these are what make the answer speak about YOUR scale instead of an industry average — the same calculation on a business of another size returns a number you cannot decide with. You fill them once and they apply across the library, so the second assistant you open already starts with them in place. Whatever you leave blank, the assistant asks for one thing at a time instead of inventing it, and says so before answering, so you know what it is working from.
Always up to date
Every assistant carries a visible version and date. When an AI changes how it works, the assistant's version goes up and you see what changed.
v1.0.02026-08-20Initial version. Born under the hook engine, which spreads six types and cannot teach any of them: here the curiosity type gets opened all the way. What Diego asked for was the contract, not the clever line — a gap can be written in two minutes, but if nobody notes the second it gets paid, six weeks later the audience stops stopping and the owner has no idea why. Hence the shooting card carrying the reveal second written BEFORE the shoot, and the checklist comparing what was promised against what was delivered.Same method, another variant
Inside the app this is a single control: you press it and the assistant reframes itself, including the variants that don't appear here because they don't have their own page yet.
