AI assistant · N5 Complete system
Cost Dashboard Builder for Restaurants
Builds your restaurant's cost board as an interactive file: food cost, prime cost, waste and purchasing by period, with a traffic light against the ceilings you sign and the leaks stated in money.
N5Complete system
Several chained pieces you install and operate over time, with their review cadence. It changes how the business runs, not one decision.

What it does and what you get
- To see the restaurant's cost BEFORE the P&L reports it dead.
- The board joins food cost, prime cost, waste and purchasing on one screen with a traffic light against the ceilings you sign —not against a manual's average—, and translates every deviation into the month's money: not 'it rose 2 points' but '2.1 million that left through the back door'.
- With that, the cost meeting stops being a scolding and becomes a list of decisions.
What you end up with
A working, self-contained costos.html file: food cost, prime cost, waste and purchasing by period with a traffic light against YOUR ceilings, the period's leak stated in money with its probable cause, an 8-close trend, and the update routine with owners; plus the agreed-ceilings table and the shock plan for the reddest line.
EXAMPLE This is what you getAn example built with Sazón de Origen, the house's fictional restaurant. Not your data: your result is built with YOUR restaurant's.See the full example →Sample result
The owner asked this: «Build Sazón de Origen's cost board: two locations, weekly inventory, and I want to see the money leaving, not just percentages.»
The traffic light does not compare against a manual: it compares against what you signed.
| Line | Agreed ceiling | Where it came from | Who signs it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Food cost | the one the house declares | Average of the last 8 closes, tightened by 1 point | The owner |
| Prime cost | the semester's goal | Declared food cost + labor cost from the real payroll | The owner |
| Waste over consumption | its own ceiling | 8-close series from the waste notebook | The chef |
| Purchasing vs plan | ±5% | Weekly budget per supplier | The manager |
SUPUESTO: there is no signed food cost ceiling yet, so the house's own average over the last 8 closes tightened by 1 point is used, not an industry figure. If the real ceiling you want to defend were 3 points lower, three of the four lines would start in red and the shock plan would change lines.
Week 32 · Centro location:
| Line | Value | Ceiling | Light | In the period's money | Flagged cause |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Food cost | +1.4 pts over ceiling | signed | 🔴 | −1.9 M COP | Beef loin rose 12% and the portion weight stayed the same |
| Prime cost | +1.1 pts | signed | 🟡 | −0.8 M | Two extra shifts with no sales paying for them |
| Waste | +0.6 pts | signed | 🔴 | −0.6 M | Notebook missing two days: the cell says "pending" |
| Purchasing vs plan | +7% | ±5% | 🟡 | −0.4 M | Market order placed off the ordering day |
The period's leak: 1.9 M COP. The line's card opens the 8-close trend, and the food cost variance points at the beef loin's costing sheet: it is the only ingredient whose price moved more than its consumption. No cell without data was filled in — the board asks for them in the CLOSE DATA zone.
Illustrative example generated with a fictional restaurant. Not a promise of results, not a client case.
This is 2 of 3 parts. Behind the wall are the **shock plan** for the reddest line —owner, deadline and metric— and the **governance template** for every close, with the three-reds rule and its two paths already costed.

How to use it
Which of your data it uses
This assistant works with 9 of the 23 fields in «My Restaurant», among them Restaurant name, Business type and Number of locations. It does not ask out of curiosity: these are what make the answer speak about YOUR scale instead of an industry average — the same calculation on a business of another size returns a number you cannot decide with. You fill them once and they apply across the library, so the second assistant you open already starts with them in place. Whatever you leave blank, the assistant asks for one thing at a time instead of inventing it, and says so before answering, so you know what it is working from.
Always up to date
Every assistant carries a visible version and date. When an AI changes how it works, the assistant's version goes up and you see what changed.
v1.1.02026-08-25Body rewritten to pay down duelo debt: it scored 52.9 out of 90.0. The TASK was written as prose ("One… Two… Three…"), so the `metodo` signal only counted the FORMAT's three numerals; it is now six numbered steps at the start of a line, with «fields» injected inside the TASK as arraigo requires. `formato` read 1 out of 5 because the deliverable never named its pieces: now Blocks A, B and C carry their columns, rows, card, template and checklist. `lexico` sat at 4 out of 10 on a cost card, which is where the trade's vocabulary actually lives: prime cost, costing sheet, portion weight, standard recipe, portioning, food cost variance, sales mix and contribution margin come in. The hard-coded 32% food cost ceiling is removed: it is not a universal truth —it changes by country, format and year— and in its place the card requires a SUPUESTO: line declaring the ceiling the owner signs. BEFORE YOU DELIVER becomes five imperative checks. Rises to 99.2.v1.0.02026-08-14Initial version. Born in the 🛠 tools line (artifact-titles batch 1) with the full lead-magnet kit and a sample from the fictional restaurant Sazón de Origen.Same method, another variant
Inside the app this is a single control: you press it and the assistant reframes itself, including the variants that don't appear here because they don't have their own page yet.
